Rather late announcement as only out hospital few days ago.

Benjamin Lewis arrived 10/02/07 22.32 weighing 7lbs 14oz.

Fairly normal and uneventful details if you are interested!

Had a show on thursday night...friday mild contractions all day every 10mins or so, and more show and more show and more (where does it all come from!).
Friends threw a lovely baby shower on the friday night felt very spoilt...but also trifle worried waters would go all over friends nice carpet and sofa!
Contractions all night and through saturday, so much for third babies just "falling out"! Eventually by 8pm when kids in bed (between contractions!!) went in to hospital and was 4-5cm. Held out with just TENS then at 10pm went through transition and sucked away on gas and air with my gorgeous boy Ben arriving at 10.32.

Home the next day but unfortunately back in the following day as Ben had been "Tango'd". We had to stay an extra 5 days under phototherapy until the jaundice settled.

Now home and enjoying life with three wee ones! (and for all you speculating there will be NO more baby caterpillar's!)

mears · 20/02/2007 12:13

That was some dose of jaudice - 5 days! Any reason found? I can sympathise - I had tangoes babies but was in 2 weeks It could have been worse.
Congratulations and welcome to Ben.

hairycaterpillar · 20/02/2007 12:36

Blood condtion (hereditory spherocytosis) runs in our family...so points to that being the cause. DS1 has it and also needed phototherapy for 5/7.
2 weeks that would've driven me mad! Guess I was lucky only 5/7 .

Congratulations. Welcome to Benjamin!

mears · 20/02/2007 13:15

Should you perhaps not have been discharged home then? It must have been upsetting to get home and then have to return.
