I am proud to announce the arrival of
Hannah Elizabeth
Born 3rd Jan at 12.46
weighing 9lbs 9oz
Well after worrying me since the summer trying to come early, bumps due date of Boxing Day came and went and I was very much pregnant, but having lots of contractions that stopped once they got to 5 min, I was examined last tuesday (2nd) and told I was already 3cm dilated and hopefully it would be any day.
Woke up Wed with Contractions every 2 min and the urge to push, a quick trip to the labour ward by ambulance followed and I gave birth with no painrelief 3 hours later.
It would have been quicker but because I had excess fluid around the baby they didnt want to break my waters, but wanted them to go naturally, well after 3 hours of having contractions every 2 min I said either break them or I want drugs, after much examination as to where the babies head was, they broke my waters and 20 min later Hannah Elizabeth was born.
She was seen by a Paediatrician immediately and they could find nothing wrong, they had a few concerns about her breathing and she was monitored every hour for almost the first 24, but this resolved itself to there satisfaction.
So Praise God and now we just have the sleepless nights to look forward to.
