...on Monday - a fast and brutal labour only just making it to hospital in time. But discharged within a few hours and now adjusting back at home.....
Best of luck to everyone else due soon

Well here goes. Started contractions at around 2am and went downstairs to get a hot water bottle. Walked around a bit and tried to nap a bit more but getting increasingly uncomfortable. So woke dh at 4pm and contractions were then about every 4mins. Very quickly they became every 2-2.5 mins and had a bath to try and ease the pain. Got really painful at around 5.30-6pm and rang sister who was going to look after ds. She took around 40mins to come as we didn't impress on her how urgent things were. Started to feel I needed to push so dh dashed next door and woke the neighbour. Sister then arrived and we dashed to hospital in super quick time, driving on the wrong side of the road etc. When we arrived, too late for any pain relief and was told to push. Baby arrived within 20 mins of us arriving at the hospital and was only spared a delivery in the car by the fact she was back to back - explains the painful labour too! Baby is perfect and I have recovered very quickly - no tears or anything and yet again, am full of praise and admiration for the midwives who delivered my baby at Chelsea & Westminster.
Hope everyone else due this month has such a positive experience. Couldn't have been more different to my first labour which was 20 hours, with an epidural. It was all a bit of a shock
But am blissfully happy now and ds loves his baby sister.
