Hello - just wanted to let you all know that I did have the baby!! - baby boy - 8lb born by c-section. He is lovely but OH MY GOD - is having two children TOUGH. Oh yes he was born on 30th December. Have to admit that I haven't had time or energy to post earlier and I am really finding it all very difficult - only managing this as DS1 asleep & DH is feeding DS2 and am sipping (ok gulping) a glass of wine.
Am sure will be posting on 'how do I cope' topics very soon. Baby Ben is beautiful though.

Congratulations (It gets easier )

mears · 30/01/2004 22:19

Congratulations It is a real shock going from 1 to 2 but you will get in the swing honestly.

zippyb · 30/01/2004 22:46

Thanks for messages - still awake (barely) & still got that glass to hand.. DH asleep on sofa with ben so bliss for a few minutes before I have to go and make bottles! C-section was brilliant (well you know as much as surgery can be) much better than 1st time round. All very "matter of fact" and ben delivered with no problems apart from much tugging (bruising to prove it!) and came out screaming! Much relief as DS1 birth was much more difficult and he didn't cry at first (cord around neck). Really hoping that I will get in the swing of it Mears and that it does get easier stupidgirl - really feeling for my DS1 at moment - mummy in floods of tears all the time. Keep telling myself that once the spring is here I'll be laughing! Hope so!!

Congratulations and welcome to Ben!

It will get easier - at least I hope so as my second is due in 2 weeks!

Go get some sleep and make the most of the quiet.

Zippy, you're in the thick of it; keep gulping and keep your eyes on the future (my seven month old is an adorably different baby from the one she was at Ben's stage!). Congratulations and lots of love.

misspastry · 31/01/2004 10:41

Well done zippyb. Still hoping to meet you one day

It is hard going from one to two, but in my experience, it is worth it (took me about a year you see it, though)

joolee · 01/02/2004 12:14

deeno · 01/02/2004 18:27

Well done and congratulations zippyb. I too have a glass of wine to hand at this moment and I've only got one! - DD1 nearly 4 wks old. It sounds like you are doing really well and I'm sure it well get easier. Hard work recovering from a c-section. It is all worth it though. . Good Luck.
