Hello all, finally posting Ava's gory details! So, all started around 7pm on Friday 31st March. Contractions very erratic, coming every 10,15,25 mins. Things started to take off around 10pm, coming every 10mins but lasting 1-2mins, what a shocker!! Used tens, called Midwife aroung midnight, she arrived about quarter to one (April 1st!!) examined me and I was 9cm W'HOO! Used 2 cylinders of Gas and Air over the next hour, was checked again at 2.00am, baby's head right there so waters broken (they thought they might have gone earlier, as couldn't be felt when first checked) and commenced pushing! Ava Marrion Anne arrived at 2.06am, great Apgar scores just a bit bluey. 7lb 140z, tiddler compared to DD1 who was 8lb 10.5oz!
Had a bath and was sat up with a cuppa half an hour later when in-laws arrived to look after dd1 in the morning! Would recommend a Home Birth to anyone, Fab experience as far as Childbirth goes!!!!
