hes actually 6 weeks old now, but it never occuredto me to post here, oops.
have been remindedto to it now though so here it is:

home water birth, like i wanted. was all very civilised to be at home and in control of it all. ate and drank my breakfast between contractions! midwives sat back and let me get on with it as i clearly knew what i was doing and wouldnt be bossed (even had a notice on the wall prohibiting any 'jollying along'! hehe) took about an hour and a half and was on my knees so no probs with the SPD, which was actually much better by then anyway. 2nd stage of about 5 minutes, with two big pushes and he was out (do i sound smug? coz i am Grin)

he is absolutely gorgeous - weighed 8lb 6.5oz, very healthy etc.

called him Angus Cameron Russell Duncan (you sensing a Scottish connection??Wink)

his brothers (age 1.8 and 2.9) and parents are delighted... and i am over the bloody moon not to be pg any more! 3 years is quite long enough, ta!

so there you are. a bit late, but hes now been properly announced.

big congratulations! Love the names and the homebirth story. Am feeling so Envy as my hospital birth with #4 was so grim by comparison that I still haven't posted an announcement 2 weeks on because I can't bear to relive the experience.

You have every right to sound smug! I love the 2 push babies!!!

PeachyClair · 18/03/2006 18:47

Congrats. Small age gaps are wonderful aren't they? And all boy famillies.

PeachyClair · 18/03/2006 18:49

(Oh mine are 2.5, 5 and 6 (13 mnth gap) so that's pretty close!! Know what you man about the happies- glad 2 out of them now).
