Sophia Erin Booth, who is now 2 months old with a very lazy mummy who couldn't be bothered to write this earlier was born on the 4th of October at 37 weeks...

I had a chest infection and while feeding DS Theo (19 months at the time) his dinner I coughed my waters out all over! As that had never happened to me before lol we got my MIL to drive us to hospital... after 7 hours sat in a waiting room without even seeing a triage nurse or anyone taking any info I finally got seen and sent home in about 20 minutes... it was about 3am by this time! Scarily there was a woman in the waiting room with us who had pre-eclampsia and was bleeding and no one looked at her either! For a women's hospital it can be pretty crap!

Anyway, so I decided I was cream crackered and got into bed only for madly strong contractions to start... so no home birth for me, as my midwife lied and said protocol was for me to be 38 weeks + when in fact it's 37 and she wanted to stay in bed!

After five and a half hours of proper full on labour I had Sophia at 10:37am it was a lovely labour, no pain meds except gas and air at the end and no tears or bruising, the placenta popped out by itself almost at the same time she did, and I only pushed twice! ... I was out of the hospital in 6 hours - yay

So that's my very late birth announcment, there's a pic of Sophia in the members profiles bit thanks for bothering to read!

I may not post very often for the next however many months as Sophia wouldn't latch on and I'm attached to a breastpump 24/7 yet again!
