A piece of pie.

Well without an induction (ok I had a sweep on Thursday) and without a fuss Anastasica Eileen Rose arrived at 10.14 am yesterday (4th Oct 12 days early).

Contractions started at 3.53am...hospital by 8am, 4cm dilated. In the birth pool by 9.30am, baby was born underwater. Tried gas and air for an hour but it made me feel demented

Can't quiet believe it.

Weighed in at 6lbs 8oz.

I had a male midwife the whole time, who was great.

And I would like to say a big thank you to Pupuce, doula extrodinare (sp?) who saved my DDDDH from dealing with my awful transition period alone and turned out to be a pretty darn fine photographer .

And I'd like to say thank you for all the amazing massive suport you've all given me over the past few months, mumsnet has helped me more than I can ever say.

Congratulations! Pleased to see you did go for the name Anastacia in the end. I think it suits her!

What wonderful news. I am so pleased that everything finally worked out well for you. And theydo say the shittier the pregnancy the easier the baby...don't they?

many congrats pie!!! so glad you had such a great birth... have been following you on here as you were due the day before my c section... now that you've had your little girl it has suddenly dawned on me that mine could arrive any time!!! I so hope your SPD clears for you and you can start to get back to normal. Your daughter looks adorable.... and if only i could have a water birth too! Once again, many congrats!!!
