My DH's cousin has had a baby

The new baby is DH's first cousin once removed and therefore the children's second cousin, I think. Maybe...

Yes, second cousins have the same great-grandparents.

Definitely second cousins. The "removed" bit is when the two people you are comparing are different generations.

Somehow I am the only person I know who actually seems to understand how to work out cousins!
