Signing in and reporting on our news as directed by my wife. Our heads are still spinning.
Gil Arthur Joel (We?re pretty sure that?s his name) was born by emergency C-section yesterday (20th September)We were both convinced he would be a girl.
5 weeks early due to Libby having pre-eclampsia, she'd been pretty ill. He was a whopping 7lbs 10ozs (the same size more or less than our girls at full term) He needed a bit of warming up but is in excellent shape and seems to be permanently attached to Lib?s chest.
The girls are delighted but our Henri is over the moon (and that really is an under statement )He has announced in his inimitable 10 year old way that Mummy is a goddess for granting his wish and has started to shift things around in his den for the cradle! We?re not sure how long the sentiment will last but his mum has a huge grin and has looked liked a Cheshire cat for the last 12 hours.
I?m not really sure what to add other than baby and mummy doing well and all the family are deliriously happy with our final addition.
I fear I have rambled on a bit and am sure to get a roasting from the wife as she wanted to give you ALL of the gory details.
Regards
Andy
