My darling dad died today

He was 80, and had a good life. I am happy he is at peace but devastated for myself. You only get one dad and I miss him already.

Charlieandlola, I am so sorry to hear this, how sad for you and your family.

I'm also very glad that you have happy memories and a great legacy from a wonderful father which you are able to benefit from as well as passing on the legacy of his great parenting to your own children and their children, etc.

Do you have people around to grieve with?

Ahhh how sad, theres no one like your Dad. I`m so sorry for your loss. Wish there was something I could do to take your pain away

Thanks everyone. I am with my mum, and my aunt&uncle have been here all day. I feel like I have cried a couple of rivers, just for myself, not for him. Even though he had been ill for a long time, I feel quite empty yet peaceful. Its weird.
