Lost my mum 30 years ago today and feel awful

Can't stop crying today. Sorry that she never saw me grow up, get married, have my 2 DC. I have nobody to help me out, my Dad and brother seem to cause so much angst that I am now having minimal contact with them. But I just want a mum, somebody to hold me like I hold my children. You would think it would not matter by this stage but feel a huge hole in my life.

So you were very young when you lost your mother? That's bad luck. Of course you are sad today. What happened, was it natural causes?

Who looked after you for the rest of your childhood?

Oh poor you, I don't know what to say...recommend a good cuddle with the dc and a nice hot bath then chocolate

Do you have a supportive dh and good friends?

Hope you have nice MIL. They do exist.

I do understand how you feel. My mum died 37 years ago in July ( at how long ago it was!) just before I started school. I grew up without her, but missed her SO much more when I had my own child. I feel so cheated! It's not fair that she is not here to see her grandkids and that she had such a short life. ((((hugs)))) for you!
