Christmas stars for loved ones

Every year my local church puts up a memorial Christmas tree, you write a loved ones name on a star and they are remembered in the Christmas eve service, and every year I ask if any one here would like me to add the name of a loved one no longer here to it.

So today the tree has gone up and I have added my dad, my father in law, my Nanna, my best friend, and three other friends sadly no longer here.
If any one would like me to add a loved one post here and all will be added by Christmas by Christmas eve

What a lovely and thoughtful thing to do Kimi. I'd love to do something like that but where I live (in the Middle East) we have no churches.
I'd be very grateful if you could please add my mum and dad, Jennie and William. Dad died 5 years ago and mum 6 months ago and I'm dreading this first Christmas without her.

What a lovely idea. Please add my Dad, who died suddenly from a brain haemorrhage in 2007. Still miss him desperately, especially at Christmas. (I am feeling very sad and tearful this evening)

Michael ds's little friend who lost his life aged 2 4 yrs ago. I still think of him when I look at ds.
