I haven't had a stillbirth but I have had a late miscarriage. This article expresses beautifully some of the feelings I've had. Hope others can take some comfort from it.

What a fantastically written article, not heard of her book, but will look it up as would like to read it. Thanks so much for sharing the link

The article was amazing and so true to the feelings you have even after a lot of years.I do have to agree Sands helped me immensely as didnt exist here when i lost ds.

That was a really good article. I like the way she is so right about the 'intense bond that exists between people who have lost a child. "It's a sort of kinship, as though there is a family tree of grief.' Whilst I am a member of Sands, I could never have got over the loss of my DS without my ivillage friends.

I read this article and i ordered the book. read the book yesterday and think its brilliant. i have been lucky enough to not have lost a child (have 1 son) and obviously hope i never do but i have a friend who has recently lost a baby a few hrs after birth. i got this book really to give to her as the woman who wrote the article says she wished she'd had it in the early, dark days.
What do people think? I don't know whether it would upset her more to receive something like this so soon after. on the other hand i think its such a good book and she might really benefit from reading it. Has anyone else read it and if so what do u think?
thanks x
