Can I have a sense check? Bereavement, house sale, family relationships

The family home has been left to me and my siblings. It’s on the market and we’ve had a very silly offer in. We we turned down and said we’d be open to a revised offer. Buyer wants us to counter offer. Because the offer is so silly, me and siblings all assume that whatever we counter offer will be counter offered again, so want some wiggle room.

via WhatsApp group - Sibling 1 suggested a counter offer £, sibling 2 suggested a different one. I agreed with sibling 1 and waited to hear what sibling 2 would say when he’d had a chance to read message. Sibling 2 later sends a message saying he’s spoken to sibling 1 and they’re going to go back to EA with sibling 2’s suggestion.

This isn’t about them agreeing a number. I just feel hurt that there wasn’t even an “is that ok with you” or “are you happy with that”? When me and sibling 1 agreed on the same number, I wouldn’t have dreamed of saying I’ll go back to the agent with it, I waited to hear what sibling 2’s thoughts were.

So sibling 2 is a man? In your shoes I'd tell them if they do that, then you will block the sale at that price until you all discuss and agree a price.

It’s been a shit week - there was the stone setting last Sunday, would have been our mum’s birthday earlier this week and I picked up another virus. I’ve felt like I’ve been railroaded quite a few times by my siblings since our dad died so miss the relationship we had and find messages like this a bit triggering (hate that word)! I don’t understand why they’re not getting it. I felt hurt and despondent when I got that message earlier and just said

“Thanks for updating me on what you and xxx have decided. I’ll butt out.“

What’s the point though? They don’t get it and I don’t understand how they don’t get it. I cry a little for our relationship every time this happens.
