I too have thought of all those whose lives were shattered on that dreadful day.

Awful. Despicable pointless attack. Heartbreaking.

MagratsDanglyCharms21 · 07/10/2026 20:15

It was an appalling atrocity. So many affected who will still be traumatised. 💜

All the suffering and misery caused by Hamas. All these poor Jewish families ripped apart especially the Bibas family. My heart goes out to everyone affected.

Thank you - really appreciate this

I'm surprised that there aren't more posters on this thread, then again so many people have a very simplistic knowledge of history.
I have never been able to fathom why historically Jewish people have been persecuted so much.

I know ! I think October 7 made me realise how much the Jewish community goes through . I feel ashamed , specially because I have always had Jewish friends , to have never realised before how much “ deslike “ there is towards the Jewish people .
I really wanted to show my support even if in a small way . . I’m glad more feels the same way

My thoughts have been with all the families affected by the atrocity 3 years ago. Some of the images will stay with me forever. Such evil acts.
There was another post yesterday for people who wished to remember, which had lots of supportive posts - sorry I've only just seen this one .

I am haunted by a picture my friends friend took the following morning.

She had spent the night in terror in the safe room texting my friend for company.

Her ILs all dead. Their dog, dead. The photo was their burnt out house, charred jam jar and coffee cups on the charred table

I couldn't stop thinking about them yesterday. I have Jewish friends and have seen first hand their worry and fear for family living in Israel. Whatever our differences and beliefs, what those people have been through and are still coping with is truly horrific. It does feel like sympathy for them across the world is quite muted and overshadowed by the hideous obliteration of Gaza and her people.

Im so sorry about your friend. That’s just so evil . My memory always goes to the Bibas family, the mums face in sheer horror holding on to her boys, I don’t think any mum could see her face without putting themselves in her position . Even writing this now makes me cry . As a mum seeing her tear for her babies was daunting .
