Way-Up asking for a utility bill and a copy of my DH death certificate. Is this normal?

I applied to join Way-Up and they have asked for a utility bill and my DH death certificate.
This seems really intrusive and inappropriate.
Has anyone else had this? At the moment I am wondering if I have contacted a scam site instead of a genuine bereavement support group.
I was hoping I had found a group that could offer support.
Are there any members that could confirm if this normal/ genuine?

Yes this is right. The good thing about it is you know as sure as you can be that everyone in the group is definitely a widow (although I’m sure there are people who fake documents!) I’ve noticed in other online groups I’m not convinced everyone is.
I definitely feel reassured by it.
