Saw a Hawaiian shirt today, reminded me of my Dad

He died in 2023. Loss sneaks up on you. You're going about your day, feeling fine and then it taps you on the shoulder, 'hey, remember me? I'm not done with you yet'.

I rounded the corner in the supermarket and bumped into DH. It took me a minute or two to realise he died 4 years ago. It's a proper sucker punch isn't it.

Oh bless you. I would definitely think of my dad too, as my mum hated this bright and out there holiday shirts!

Hawaiian shirts remind me of my dad too. I was in a shop in Waikiki last summer looking at some thinking oh he would have liked that.
