My mum passed yesterday morning. I was with her, holding her hand. We knew she was at end of life but wasn’t expecting it to happen yesterday and so quick.
we thought we would have another few weeks left with her.

I don’t know why I writing this I just feel so empty and the pain is like no other I’ve experienced. I miss her so much already and just want to tell her one last time how much I love her.

My heart is broken

I’m so sorry for your loss 💐
My DF went very quick at the end as well, it was a shock, I thought we had a couple more weeks.
My DM died years ago and despite having a DH and DC, I suddenly felt very alone having no parent left.

I’m so sorry for your loss OP. My mum is very elderly and although she’s in fairly good health I am dreading this as I know it’s coming sooner rather than later. Be kind to yourself and remember the grief you feel is the result of a life full of love.

Thank you for your kind words
she was only 66
cancer is an horrible disease

Im so sorry for your loss. I know its the most shattering thing and you must be exhausted. I lost my mum six months ago after a short illness and still cant believe it happened.

I'm sorry, OP. My heart goes out to you. She sounded like a wonderful woman who raised a lovely daughter who was right by her side to give her peace as she passed over to the other side. She'll always be with you 💜

She was so scared, she wasn’t ready to die or leave us. The end was so peaceful for her. She got what she wanted, to be at home with her family. She’s at rest now

Wow, so young. Sorry for your loss. Sending hugs .

Oh op, I'm so glad you were with her and holding her hand at the end. That is so precious, even if it's hard to think that now.
I've lost both parents within the past 6 months and it is truly horrific, they were both in their 60's. Take it easy and do what you need to to get through the next few weeks, months, years x

Sending a hug. I lost my darling dad 3 weeks ago and it's the funeral at the end of this week. I don't think it's sunk in yet.

Thanks for you replies
it’s her funeral next week an I feel the same. Don’t think it’s all sunk in yet, still doesn’t feel real. The funeral is going to be hard
