Any widowed stepparents who can help my friend?

Hi,

My friend is 27 and recently widowed. Her husband had 2 children by his first wife and my friend was stepmum to them. She is still seeing them, though not asmuch as she would like, and she is specifically looking for any widowed young widowed stepmums who might be able to email her with advice and support. Can you help?

This is an open website for people in this situation (from which I am a recent refugee, as it happens. It is very useful, but one "grows out" of it. That really is the point) Get her to have a look there, there are folks from all over the UK many of whom are in the situation you describe. There is also a closed MSN group site with a chatroom which is an offshoot of this known as "widowhood". Many people (me included) have made contacts and arranged meetings through here, as it is comparatively safe being a closed site. It won't be found on a Google search but can be found here

Thank you. She found Merry Widows but said she didn't find anyone on there who didn't have their own children but did have ste children, which is her position. I will tell her to check out that group though. Thank you so much.

There are people! I know a couple that I am in contact with. If necessary I will put her in contact for you. I bet, though, that she has not put a post on the Merry Widow site, there would be answers to it.
