I just feel numb. I should be so happy.

It would have been my beautiful little girls 14th birthday. I know its selfish but I wish he could have been born on another date.

Sorry

AHHH..I am so sorry for you. It isn't selfish. You are bound to feel sensitive about the date.I wonder if your sibling feels sensitive and worried too.

hercules1 · 30/05/2008 14:24

It's not selfish at all. I agree with ruby.

Hulababy · 30/05/2008 14:24

Of course it isn't selfish. I am so sorry for the loss of your little girl.

It doesn't mean you aren't happy about the birth of your nephew. Just the timing isn't right. I hope it will get easier for you as times goes on and his birthday becomes more familair to you.

Sympathies for you too...My first baby's birthday(EDD)is my best friends birthday too, he'd have been 12 this August. It will get easier, I promise.

Don't be sorry, STS, you are not being selfish, but human.

edam · 30/05/2008 14:26

Agree with everyone else - nothing selfish about it at all. So sorry to hear about your dd.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 31/05/2008 12:09

I'm not surprised you have such conflicting emotions.

If you can, try and celebrate your dd's birthday. It's a happy (albeit bittersweet) day, as she came to you on that day.

Much love xx
