The first one since he died 7 months ago aged 25.....and I got through it ok. Had a little cry but went out and had a lovely day. All his friends messaged me with what they were doing to celebrate him.
I was dreading it but I was strong and positive.

Well done. That is a huge achievement and a lot to be proud of. Allow yourself to rest now, it is a lot to carry.

What sort of things did they do to celebrate him? Were they things he loved?

Next week would be my son’s 19th birthday, our 5th without him.

Go gently x

It was the 11th anniversary of my daughter's death yesterday. I had a good cry walking the dog and then I pottered all day with my sister. It turned into a good day. Keeping busy on hard days is sometimes the only way to get through tough days. Happy birthday to your son. Xx

Oh they had curries and drank guinness.....played football. And made donations to his fundraising page. Nearly £20000 now.

Thinking of you and your lovely son, his friends sound wonderful as I'm sure he was too. I'm glad you managed to get through the day x

I am so sorry for your loss too. My son died on 30th April this year, aged 31. His father died before he was born. I will do a separate post. I really feel for you. Well done for getting through it. Big hugs. <3
