Hi,

my sister unexpectedly passed away last month leaving behind her amazing little boy behind (he turns 1 next week) . Just wondering if anyone had any ideas of anything I could get made for him for when he’s older or anything to help him remember her by.

thanks

Memory teddies and blankets made of things like her dressing gown and favourite jumpers? All the video of her you can gather on a memory stick.

I'm so sorry for your loss, and for your poor little nephew.

I’m very sorry for your loss. Could you put together a photo album of her? Maybe starting with pictures of her and your family growing up.

So sorry for your loss. Maybe you could print out all the photos you have of them together and put them in an album? Then no risk of them getting lost between phones etc and he can look at them whenever he wants to.

Photo book is a good one, because that way no photos can be lost - just perhaps make 2 copies. And write some stories in with it that you may forget with time.

I had a memory bear made with my Dad's clothes, it's on my bed and it's a great comfort at times.

I’m so sorry for your loss x

I would reach out to anyone and everyone she knows and collect anything (videos/voice recordings/ voicemails) where you can hear her voice. The ability to go back and hear her voice will be so special for her son in time, also videos where she’s moving, sounds strange but when all you have is pictures of someone then being able to see them move is strangely special

Could you but and keep, some of her fav sweets and treats? My mum passed away10 years ago and i still have a packet of polo from her coat pocket

I'm so sorry for your loss, that's awful.

I agree about printing a load of photos. Do you have access to her phone and her photos and videos? I'd get them backed up in a few ways so he'll definitely have them when he's older. All those nothing day to day snaps will mean the world to him I'm sure.
