How to talk to 6 year olds?

Can someone recommend any books/tv shows anything that can help my 6 year old understand that his grandma is dying please?

I've tried just talking to him taking guidance from some websites but I think if he could read a book and relate that back his own life he would understand a lot more.

Nothing like about being old and just dying of old age as she's only 53 and they have a really close relationship.

I've had a Google but I wanted to know if anyone had any that helped their children understand. Thanks

Hello, I'm sorry to hear this x I don't know of specific books to help your child at this stage, however I have just written a book to help children with loss and bereavement. It's a picture book for primary aged children about a girl called Daisy who wishes she had more memories with her grandad, who 'lives in the clouds'. There are 'thoughts from the author' at the end, which are questions to help parents and carers approach conversations with their children when they are ready. I am aiming to publish in the new year, if you'd like a copy? My Instagram is @madeby_mims if you wanted to follow for up to date information?
