mum2oneloudbaby · 10/04/2008 20:01

Big hugs from here too . My DH has never understood why I still miss my grandma 11 years on, she was a second mum and he never had that kind of relationship with his grandparents

MissPaulaYates · 10/04/2008 20:02

Mcdreamy
My beloved Grandma died in january - I am glad she is at peace but feel so sad to have lost her..

Thinking of you

McDreamy · 10/04/2008 20:03

I think that's just it, he never had that kind of relationship with his grandparents.

I am working on being able to come back. DH is going to try and get a seat for me on the Trooper.

Thanks everyone x

Oh darling, I lost both my grandparents within six months of each other, he died of a broken heart. I was 12.

The older I get, the more I miss them, I would have loved them to have met my DH. I know logically they would have been too old to have met DS, but it does not stop me wishing.

You are lucky to have had him this long, (it just doesn't feel like it at the moment.)

And when the loss of him, creeps up and grabs up you unexpectedly in years to come, don't dismiss the delayed grief, it is valid.

Huge hugs to you.

LGJ

DH has been brilliant this morning. He has been into work and sorted out a flight home for me on Sunday! I think he does better at the practical stuff than the sentimental stuff

RubySlippers · 11/04/2008 07:42
