The user has probably changed the username so won’t be notified. I would definitely suggest you join and if it isn’t for you that’s fine but from experience it’s helpful to share stories with those who are going through the same experiences and make new friends/acquaintances.

Sorry for your loss.

WAY has been invaluable for me in my bereavement.

It's like anything really, you get out what you put in. It's mostly run by volunteers, you can participate as little or as much as you like. The Facebook groups are much more active and easier to navigate than the online website forum. And with anything you'll find some people you gel with and some you don't.

WAY literally changed my life.

I’ve been a WAY members for a long time, 2008, though I’ve left a couple of times but I always go back.
I’ve made lots of connections and friends for life.
its not expensive to join and it’s a charity, so I’ll always be a member as it helps with raising money for WAY.
You can be as involved as you like, I’ve been to loads of local meet-ups and a couple of AGMs.
the FB groups are very active, there are also lots of spins off groups, for people with and without children, people who have been widowed in very traumatic ways.
There’s groups for people who are neurodivergent or have children who are neurodivergent.
music groups, travel groups, that’s just a few of the extra groups.
I’d recommend it to anyone that is eligible, it’s easy to find people that understand the things that you’re dealing with.
The support and legal phone lines are also very good.
