DM just died, Mother’s Day hell

My lovely lovely mum died two days ago and I’m stuck in this hell and when I tried to venture out I’m hit with Mother’s Day hell. I wrote out my mums card because I already bought it and I will put it on her window sill like I always did.
This feels so unbearable. We were so close.

I lost my Mum two weeks ago and going to see her in the Chapel of Rest today. I brought her a card, so will still 'give' that to her. It's going to be so hard.

That is so sad. Sending love to you.

I am very sorry for your loss, my Mum died 2 weeks ago.
We are having a low key day, me and DD are going to do something my Mum would have loved and then both DC are cooking for me.
Its hard when it’s in your face everywhere isn’t it?

Thanks for all the kind messages. Drove to my parents house (to see DF but not ready to call it DFs house), went past people getting out of car or walks with cards and flowers/presents etc probably wouldn’t have noticed them before but feels like it’s everywhere now.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like you had a lovely relationship. In time I really hope you can appreciate the lovely relationship you had and days like this are less painful. For now stay in and look after yourself. Sending love xx

OP on calling it your parents house. I still have my grandparents phone number in my phone as gran and grandad even though she died a few years ago. I can't imagine I'll ever change it. So do continue to call it their house.
