Did I see a spirit? Your stories!

Hi, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this since it happened and I’d love to hear your similar stories.
A very close member of my family died recently. They went into hospital due to a small accident that needed an operation, it wasn’t a serious problem.
The day they went into hospital (before I knew they had gone in), I was driving in my car, and I saw clear as day, their partner (who had died 14 months previously) driving along. I stared and stared (as I was at the traffic lights) but am more than confident that it was them that I saw. Then I found out about the hospital admission and it seemed kind of a co-incidence.
It was playing on my mind that week so much, as I just knew it was their face I saw.
Then 5 days later, on the Friday, my relative in hospital died very unexpectedly. I just couldn’t help thinking that the ‘spirit’ I saw had come to give me a warning that something would happen, or just to ‘collect’ them.

Does it sound crazy?
I know that it’s reasonably common for a person who is dying to see people come to collect them… but for me to see them (many many miles away), is fascinating to me.
Any similar stories that might make me feel like I’m not going mad? And yes, I do definitely believe in an after-life.

It’s not crazy. And I’m glad you had that. My mum who was the best ever died a month ago and apart from the odd robin, I’ve had nothing.

but her spirit is in my house where she moved when she was I’ll - and I could feel she had long left her own when I went back to clear it. I sleep in “her bed” - guest room - most nights and feel most at peace there. Maybe that’s a sign? Im a realist and works like a concrete sign but at the same time she’s in my heart and part of me and I don’t expect or really need anything of that makes sense.

Yes I’ve experienced this over and over again, where people long passed come back to collect those due to pass very soon. There are clear signs that we see happen (I won’t say what as it’s outing). These specific signs only happen around the time of another family member passing. My DH (historically a firm believer in there being nothing after death) has now seen this several times with his own eyes and is totally converted (and amazed / slightly weirded out too).

I was cooking in the kitchen and felt my husband rub my shoulder exactly how he used to. He used to come and see what I was cooking and rub my shoulder ..I spun around thinking it was my son....nobody was there ...my beloved husband passed last march.......I can definitely feel his presence most of the time......

A few years ago I was in a shopping centre and saw a woman who looked just like my sister-in-law. When I got home my DH told me that one of his nephews had phoned to say that his Mum, who was in hospital, had died suddenly that morning.

My MIL died on Monday night very suddenly, whilst my FIL was on the phone giving us the news absolutely distraught 30 mins after her passing, my husband and daughter could smell very strongly her perfume coco chanel. ( I don't have any chanel perfume so couldn't be mixed up) we knew then that she was around us

The pp is spamming threads and PMs with this message and did the same under a different name previously. Reported.

Not a bereavement related one but I was once sitting in my car in a car park waiting for my brother in law whilst he popped in the shop. Suddenly I heard my sister shouting my name, although she was home with the children, I looked all around, quite confused but couldn't see her anywhere. A few minutes later I got a call from her to say one of the children had an accident at home and to come back quickly with BIL.

My step father passed recently and my mother told me she felt him stroke her forehead when she was waking up from her sleep.
