Can I just show my beautiful boy off please

I want to show him off, if that's ok.

Its been a long time since anyone but me has acknowledged him. Sorry the photos aren't too great, there were no camera phones in the 90s so I had to take a picture of a photo.

He would be 23 now, and as handsome as his little brother no doubt.

He was so beautiful, he was a skinny wee tall boy, all eyes and feet 😂 he was tiny but his eyes were huge and he had ginormous feet.

Everyone always said he has wise eyes, and an old soul. I really felt he was an old soul too.

He fought so hard through his illness, but he was taken from me anyway.

He was cremated in his green top and green socks, that was my favourite outfit on him.

He is still so loved and missed every day. I adored him, my first born, my precious baby boy, he changed my life, he made me a mum, he taught me what love is, and now that love has no place to go so it has turned to grief.

The song Bright eyes always reminds me of him, the song I played at his funeral was Lullaby by Billy Joel which I find impossible to listen to now.

The one that makes me laugh when I think of him is Celine Dion All coming back to me, I used to play it and sing with some made up lyrics about how much I love him and then belt out the BABY BABY to him, which elicited another eyeroll 😂

I'm so sorry for the loss of your beautiful boy. I'm glad you are able to share him with us. I will be thinking of you and your family as you eat your angel cake.

He deserves to be acknowledged and you deserve to be able to speak proudly of him, as often as you would like to.

He's beautiful OP. And it's clear from how you write that he is very very loved. My eldest is 23 now so born around the same time I guess - your photos remind me of her baby pics. Seems weird that we didn't have digital photos then though I actually like "real" pictures better.
You'll always be his Mummy, never feel shy to talk about him as there will always be people here to listen xx

We have so much to learn when we're new parents, I had no idea how nappy sizes worked either.
I'm sorry you had such a short time with your boy. It sounds like you crammed lots of memories into a short time
