Can I just show my beautiful boy off please

I want to show him off, if that's ok.

Its been a long time since anyone but me has acknowledged him. Sorry the photos aren't too great, there were no camera phones in the 90s so I had to take a picture of a photo.

He would be 23 now, and as handsome as his little brother no doubt.

He was so beautiful, he was a skinny wee tall boy, all eyes and feet 😂 he was tiny but his eyes were huge and he had ginormous feet.

Everyone always said he has wise eyes, and an old soul. I really felt he was an old soul too.

He fought so hard through his illness, but he was taken from me anyway.

He was cremated in his green top and green socks, that was my favourite outfit on him.

He is still so loved and missed every day. I adored him, my first born, my precious baby boy, he changed my life, he made me a mum, he taught me what love is, and now that love has no place to go so it has turned to grief.

Such character in his face, babies personalities are there from the start and his sense of humour really comes through.

What an absolutely gorgeous baby he was.

I still have his little socks, and a tiny lock of his beautiful hair, a nappy from the first pack I bought him that nearly drowned him because I got the wrong size.

His purpose was to show you a love you hadn't previously known. Through your beloved boy, you found your own purpose.
Yours is a life of value and worth because he showed you that life is a gift worth fighting for. Keep on celebrating your beloved, precious firstborn. He gave so much during his brief time here with you and that is extraordinary.

Thank you so much for sharing him and your memories with us today, you sound like a lovely mum and I imagine he'd have been a wonderful young man - a credit to you.

Your memory of being ill and him coming to you reminded me, my aunt had a similar experience a few years after losing her baby. Her visitor was a young boy, but she says she knew it was him and he told her it wasn't time yet.

I'm not a Christian and I don't really know what I think comes after this, but I like to believe they're still around us.

And the outfit from one of the photos I shared, it still smells of him, I only take it out on special occasions because I'm scared that smell will go away (I never washed it after he wore it) and his precious bear that was the first he ever got and was in the hospital watching over him.

Beautiful, darling baby. He is your Dotty and you are his mum forever. Love like yours will always endure.

I've even got the video tape of my scans, which was super fancy technology for the time.
