My husband lost his Nan last weekend and it is her funeral this afternoon. On the Monday we didn't even know what was wrong with her and she died on Saturday, the day after the diagnosis.

The children are very upset too.

It would have been her birthday today.

am really sorry to hear that Nab. maybe you could do something today in memory of her birthday? bake one of your glorious cakes and have a little tea party with the children to talk about her , as it so new and sudden?

don;t know if that is a terrible idea or not

Hubby on his way to his parents house now. Funeral is 2pm. Just been to get DD from school and there was a huge procession with horses going to the crematorium. So many flowers there was an extra hearse. Cars and cars of mourners. I held right back to let them all go, and the car behind was not happy.

NAB thats so sad.

I lost my Gran in March, just from old age really, but it has been hard for us all. She was the one thing that was always there in my life through everything that happened to me.

My Gran's birthday was the start of Nov, adn that was hard and I found myself in the toliteries section of M&S the week before, looking at the 'magnolia' toiletreis we always got her and crying!

Take care xxxxx
