dd's teacher off, her father has just died

he had heart attck and went into a coma about 2 weeks ago, they feared he would be brain damaged when/if he did ever wake up.

Havent seen this teacher to speak to since middle of last week, but she looked tired/worried, dd asked me this morn if mrs x woukld be in today, i said she should be why? and dd told me her daddy had gone to heaven

This teacher lives a few houses up from us and i know her on first name terms since dd started, would a card for her be totally intrusive and innaproprite?

I'm sure a card would be a kind thought. They have obviously made the news public at school and she is a neighbour too.

just didnt want to seem to forward?, i could drop it in her house on way into school in morning, dont really want to knock as id have children with me and wouldnt want her upset

sorry meant familier there not forward, didnt know if a card was more from a 'friend' than an aquantence?

I'm sure she would appreciate that you are thinking about her. Just post it through her letter box as she may not want any face to face contact.
