I can't even type this without welling up. He was such a great guy and it's so difficult to believe he's gone. We left a message while she was out saying we'll do anything to help out, but what on earth can we do/say without intruding on her unimaginable grief or making it worse for her?

It's wierd how these things happen, but I've just seen a clip of a a motorcycle airbag which also worked in an actual GP race . I don't know if would have saved him, but that and the updated version look like a serious contribution to motorbike safety.

My sister's husband died very unexpectedly in Sept. As others have said -practical! Help tidy garden, washing, food. She found filling in forms/dealing with claims etc dreadful. And don't forget -they need it just as much 2 or 3 months down the line. So sad for them.
