Is there a deaths announcement website in Australia?

In Ireland we have RIP.ie which is the equivalent of putting a death notice in the newspaper. People can leave messages of condolence. Is there an equivalent in Australia?

If you know the particular area, you could look up the local paper and see if they have an obituary section. The link is usually hidden right at the bottom of the page in the footer. Or you could just search Google for "name" obituary if it's one that's not too common.

Which state are you thinking of? I know Sydney morning herald online has a tributes section where you can list them but I'm not sure about other the other state newspapers.

tributes.smh.com.au/obituaries/smh-au/

I think there is also one called obits.com.au

Hopefully someone will be along soon with some more info for you.

I've searched for her name and obituary, but haven't found anything. I'll have a look at the local papers, thanks, I hadn't thought of that.
