Supporting mum after death of dad

Lost my dad last week. Mum (over 80) is on her own 3 hours away. I live closer than my sibling, we're in England but mum is in Wales. Mum isn't doing well and we are really worried about her mental health if she is forced to stay living on her own.

Has anyone moved a parent in with them under these circumstances?

Sorry for your loss OP also lost a parent in the last few weeks fortunately DB lives with her. We all live within a 10 minute drive and all phone everyday but if DB wasn't there i dread to think.
Do you have a good relationship, would mum be agreeable to this and adequate space for your mum and everyone to isolate if someone became ill? As this could go on a goodly while? Also what are your occupations as if you and DH are going out you could be putting mum at risk but if she’s really not coping it might be a more preferable option.

Sorry for your loss too.

Spoke to Cruse and they said they knew of people moving their bereaved parents with them. I have the space and can work from home so minimal risk.
