Losing my dear Grandad

My Grandad was admitted to hospital 2 days ago for what was thought to be a kidney infection but today I had a call to say he has an aneurysm. We were told 2-3 days, and obviously we can't visit currently. They they tried to operate this evening but they couldn't help him. His partner has been allowed to go in and hold his hand tonight. I'm so sad I didn't get to say goodbye, it's a shock as I spoke to him last week and he was fine. I also can't support my mum through this which really hurts as she has MH issues and this will be so tough for her. I can't sleep so I thought it might help to write it all down as I can't stop crying and thinking of my wonderful grandad and how much he means to me.

I am so sorry to hear this. It's such awful news and it's hard to know what to say except your lovely Grandad knows how much you love him and that you would be there if you could. 💐

Thanks for replying Teds. I'm sure he does know how much we all love him. I just can't stop crying at the moment and thinking of never seeing his lovely face again. And I don't know what might happen about a funeral.
