DH's grandad has just passed away and I can't get hold of him

He's at work and I'm pressuming there is no signal on his mobile.

I just keep hitting redial but getting his voicemail

A friends grandma died about 6 weeks ago and they had to wait nearly 3 weeks - aparently funeral director said it was a busy time of year It will be the same funeral director they use.

We are going to The Algarve

Will there be a post mortem?
If there is, that in itself can take a good week or more, and the funeral is normally around a week after that is done, so you may well be home in time.
My nan was buried 2 weeks after she died.

No PM, I don't think anyway. He had been admitted to hospital last week with Pneumonia so pressuming that is all quite straight forward.
Any funerals I have been to (and that has only been 4) have all been about 2 weeks later - am thinking because of the bank hols we might be back in time.

Funeral is 5th September do we will miss it. DH bit upset, I said we could work something out but he said no, he thinks it's best we go
