Isn't there a fabulous restaurant called Anthony's in Leeds which has loads of good reviews?
Thinking of you on Friday though x

IntergalacticWalrus · 07/08/2007 19:07

No idea Yorkie, because I don,t know Leeds, but I wanted to say that I hope you have a good day whatever you decide.

I can't believe it's been a year

Peachy · 07/08/2007 19:07

milfAKAmonkeymonkeymoomoo · 08/08/2007 09:35

I went on the London Eye on the anniversary of the death of my DH1, was nice to do something positive to remember him by

anorak · 08/08/2007 09:36

You should go wherever you have a yen for, YG. Indulge yourself with some serious wallowing in the memory of Nigel. Talk about him with someone who knew and loved him.

Blackduck · 08/08/2007 09:37

Hansa's - lovely Indian food - Veggie...

Marina · 08/08/2007 09:37

Thinking of you all Yorkie. Hope you find the perfect venue for your meal - am afraid I am clueless about Leeds

LieselVentouse · 08/08/2007 10:31

bundle · 08/08/2007 10:34

went to 44 the calls (called brasserie 44, i think) along the canalside a few years back, it was v nice, not sure now though, you'd need someone local to advise.

What about Mio Modo on Wellington Street? Or Piccolino's on Park Row? Both not too flashy but nice. I go to Leeds a bit with work and like those two places. Also recently went somewhere else but can't remember what it was called for the life of me. It was down near the Calls, near Oporto.

normabutty · 08/08/2007 16:58

Thinking of you Yorkie. I like Bibi's but can be quite pricey. I'd explain where it is but I'm not good with directions . They have a website tho.

normabutty · 08/08/2007 17:01

Should probably have said it's nuttygirl, i've changed my name.

TrixieVix · 08/08/2007 20:53

Agree with Bundle - Brasserie 44 is delish. Hope you can enjoy some happy memories of Nigel on Friday x

popsycal · 08/08/2007 20:58

Yorkie - I agree with anorak too. Go wherever you feel comfortable to remember Nigel. As long as you avoid Pizza Express, you should be fine

Will be thinking of you all
xx

WideWebWitch · 08/08/2007 21:11

I'll be thinking of you on Friday too YG.

Bewilderbeast · 08/08/2007 21:18

Ok leeds ideas:

During the day

what about temple newsham farm and then a picnic in the grounds. The girls will be involved in the animals and you can take pleasure from their enjoyment.
Or if on your own a massage at neal's yard

Evening

Do not go to malmaison or Da marios

The Living Room is lovely and has a lively atmosphere and is (comparatively cheap)

Ferrets hall in headingly is pretty good (but living room better)

the Shebab or the Nawab is good for an indian, or Hamsas (sp) for a veggie indian

Clary · 08/08/2007 21:23

Oh YG. Cannot believe it's a year ago.

No thoughts on restaurant as don't know Leeds. Just wanted to post that your plan seems like a really good one and that I will think of you and the girls (even tho I've never met them) on the day.

startouchedtrinity · 08/08/2007 21:29

Just wanted to say I'll be thinking of you and your girls too - in fact was thinking of you yesterday - had no idea it was a year already.

I hope you have the evening you need.xxxx
