What to do when someone passes away abroad?

I am sorry for everyone who has lost a loved one 💐
My British friend's husband suddenly passed away in Dubai where they have been living for 12 years.
He still owns the house they lived in UK and it's currently rented out. My friend does not have access to his bank accounts.

Could someone advise me step by step what she must do in order to transfer everything over to her name?

In addition she will not have a job immediately in return to UK. Are there any benefits she can claim ? Does she need to be resident for 6 months prior?

Any advise gratefully received 🙏🏽

Sorry to hear this. I think i would ask citizens advice and also see what dr google comes up with. Hopefully someone on here will have some knowledge as well.
