I wanted to do something to 'mark' it. I wanted to get a (small) tattoo - no money. I wanted to buy a plant/ornament - again no money. i wanted to be pregnant - i'm not. I wanted someone else to remember (i know thats unreasonable) - they didn't. I wanted today to be different but its not been and now i am sat here on my own as DP is out working and he hasn't even remembered.

Someone kick me up the backside and slap me on the face for being unreasonable

i carried a ribbon on my due date, my m/c lasted 2 weeks so isn't so much an actual date. i also reminded dh, cos i knew he'd not remember and didn't want the added upset of waiting to see.
monsters, big hugs from stinky

mumofm.

I've had 3 mcs, and while I've never actually marked one of the anniversaries or due dates, it does hang around those times like a shadow. Two of my miscarried pregnancies (2 years apart) would have been due around my birthday, so there's always a bit of a shadow over that as well. The main day-to-day impact of my mcs is the shaken trust in good outcomes - I'm 25 weeks pg again now and struggling a bit.

Light a candle and have a few quiet moments.

There's a piece I wrote about the experience of mc on another thread (under my old name, foundintranslation) - it might be a bit much for you if you're feeling raw, so I won't link to it, but you could search for it if you thought it might help.

FIT, i had no idea that you had name changed. I won't search now but i will do soon.

I only know the dates because 2mo is a friends b'day and i was due NYE.

Stinky, it lasted a long time for me too but i passed the placenta today a year ago (IYSWIM) thats how i rememeber
