My boyfriend just died

We'd been having problems for a while and split up this morning on good terms. My last words to him were 'Look after yourself'.

The police have been round. They think he fell on the stairs at home about 9pm yesterday. I keep thinking it's just a bad dream and I'll wake up.

I've got a friend here, the police brought her round.

Call someone too. Maybe the bereavement place tomorrow. Or there's lots of others. They will really, really help you. X

Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry! I can't imagine what you must be going through right now.

Is there anything you'd like to talk about? I'm so glad you have a friend there with you

for you. I'm glad you're not alone, and have someone to talk to. And although I'm sure it will be a struggle, please try to take care of yourself, or let someone else take care of you in the coming days and weeks.

Kate perhaps op hasn't been to bed yet? So for her they split up this morning, ie Saturday morning as she hasn't been to bed and woken up on Sunday morning yet? And if the police came round after midnight they could have said that it happened yesterday around 9pm, again meaning Saturday, as they were being aware of/factual about the fact that technically it is now Sunday, and op has perhaps simply quoted what they told her. It's the only explanation I can think of.
