My cousin was killed by a car last night

My lovely, funny, kind cousin was killed by a car last night as he travelled home from work. I feel so sorry for his wife and family, he was such a lovely guy, I can't believe I'll never see him again.

If anyone knows anyone who rides a motorbike please try to pursuade them to change to a car. They are just too dangerous. My cousin was a careful rider but the person who killed him was just not looking when they pulled out into him.

Trice, I am so sorry to hear this. Dh and I used to be passionate bikers but we stopped after our best friend was killed. Very similar story, knob in car not looking when pulled out. However to many motorcyclists, the risks outweigh the pure joy of riding.

You and your family have my heartfelt sympathy.

dp is a biker - there have been three bikers killed round here lately - so at car drivers 'just not looking'.

I'm sorry trice. What terrible news for your family. Sadly, I also have lost two friends and seen one paralysed in motorbike accidents. In all three cases it was the car drivers who just did not look. It's so desperately unfair and all too common. His poor family.

So sorry for your loss. My BIL was killed on his motorbike a few months ago- similiar story with car driver.

thank you all for you posts. We are all feeling terribly sad and reeling at the moment. He was a wonderful man and the world is a darker place without him.

So sorry for you and all of your family .

My cousin was killed on his motorbike - at 21 - some years ago. They are so risky.
