DH's Grandmother's funeral on Friday. We have sent flowers and I need to think of a message for the card, but everything sounds trite or cheesy or too generic. I currently have
"With heavy hearts but fond memories."

Too bland? Too predictable?

I've tried website for inspiration but they just make me cry - and I am sat at work in an open plan office so not such a good idea to start weeping!

Sorry for you & your DH's loss.
I think that sounds like a lovely, touching message.

Why not something like We'll miss you, thank you for many happy memories. RIP.

Sorry for your loss.

Thank you all.
I have sent off the text now.

"With heavy hearts but fond memories.
We will miss you."

Thanks again, I needed someone(s) to bounce off as I was getting all wrapped up in it!

I think that anything you write, as long as it is sincere, is fine. Really. It's my mum's funeral on Friday, I won't care if anyone says anything cheesy or trite, that fact that they try to say anything at all (written or spoken) is enough.

Tinker .
Will spare a thought for you on Friday.

Tinker thinking of you.
