Huge family upset.Mum scattered Dads ashes and we all found out on social media !!!

Just that.Worked 14 hour day and saw pics of Dads resting place.Very shocked hurt and upset.we knew she had planned on going alone but no idea where or when.To make it worse she went with one sister I have two and two brothers
No one minded her going alone its shocking to see others find out before us.

As if it isn't bad enough.I have to work every day over Xmas and my mum is an older lady who knows exactly what Facebook is all about.:(

Now my two dsis have gone nc with me.I can't believe this last week its like a living nightmare.what could be been lovely is now truly dreadful.:(

Sorry this happened . Do you feel able to ask your mum why she did it this way?

Have you had any contact from your mum since the Facebook post? Is the issue with your sisters connected with the ash scattering?

My dsis that took DM is her fostered daughter so now the rest of us feel bad.DM said she would scatter Dad alone as he didn't want a headstone.This is hard enough.DM felt left alone after the funeral so when DM said she wanted to free him sooner than later dsis took her.I still feel so very shocked to see this on fb form a 74 year old woman who is usually hyacinth bouquet at etiquette.
I asked dsis if she scattered the ashes.I don't know if she did.Realising how it may look to us dsis asked DM if she wanted to do this and dms reply was....they can ring me if they want to fi d out!!!.sadly I've been helping DM while working 13 hour days in a new job.I'm working Christmas day and new years eve and day.I feel drained by her behavior. This isn't the first time she has done something so bad so d sis has both gone NC at Christmas .
