Hi, my friends dad was given 2 months to live last week. It’s cancer and a secondary cancer too.

She is doing ok I think but both her parents are really struggling. He keeps saying he is scared and doesn’t want to go yet, he is not ready. Her mum is terrified of a life without him.
Has anyone got any recommendations of charities that can help guide people through this, ideally the practical aspects as well as the psychological stuff too.
It has happened so quickly that the whole family is spinning, it’s just so cruel.

I am so sorry to hear of this families plight. Macmillan nurses are marvellous in these situations. Your friend or her mother must request the GP for this support. They should also ask the GP what other care and support is available to them in your area.Flowers

I second MacMillan. They also have a very comprehensive website which was very helpful when we were in this situation with my MIL.

Brilliant thank you. Just feel so desperately sad for them it’s such a shock and so so sudden. 😞 I know there is nothing I can do to fix it for them just want them to get as much support as is out there.
