Should I go to the inquest?

My wonderful dad died in a car accident in April. There was no other cars involved and he was going very slowly.

The best guess up to now is that he had some kind of cardiac episode, slowed right down and took off his seat belt (he was only about 300 metres from home) and then blacked out and the car rolled into its side.

The cause of death was a broken neck.

Will I gain anything from going to the inquest? I just don't know what to do for the best.

I don't think you should OP. Flowers He probably wouldn't want you to.

It's up to you. But you will hear very detailed descriptions of his death from any witnesses. Plus intricate details of the post mortem from the pathologist, which I sometimes think are not helpful and can be immensely upsetting to family members.
You could just contact the coroners that day for the verdict, but not actually attend in person.
