Loss of sister

We buried my eldest sister yesterday, lost my Mum 5 years ago. Mum was my best friend and soul mate, and my sister was also my best friend. I am lost and lonely, very lonely.

I have no other siblings that close, and very few friends, how does anyone cope in this situation?

I am sorry for your loss Flowers. I lost DB in October and it still doesn't seem real at times.

I'm sorry for your loss Flowers.
Any chance you can expand your friend base by getting involved with your main interests locally?
If you are religious, are there any church groups you can get involved with?
Failing that, can you get involved with local food banks as that may give you an added impetus to get involved.
Sorry, I know a lot of that stuff is a bit condescending, but it may help you Brew

Not been where you are ok, totally dreading the day when it happens.

Sending you love Flowers

early I'm sorry for your loss too Flowers

mum you are not condescending at all, they are all good ideas and very welcome, thank you..

At the moment though I don't feel quite ready for those things, I'm so fragile that I don't want a commitment at the moment.

But I will..

howlong my thoughts are with you. Commitments can keep you going and motivated, but I think you need to do what makes you feel good and strengthens yourself.
You are an individual and can be strong by yourself ( even if it feels impossible at the current time) Brew

OP I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my little brother just over three years ago. You are coping, but it might not feel like it! My only advice is to let it wash over you, cry as much as you want to. Only now can I say that it does get easier.
