Godson's Grandad has died- want something to comfort him

As above really. Godson is 7. His Grandad died a couple of weeks ago. Was thinking about getting him a memory box but then I have a DS, not sure that it would work. He is not talking about it much and they were quite close.
Was thinking about a book, teddy? I live away from him and don't see him much.
Any ideas?

Some people get shirts made into cushions. Is that an option?

There's a really good book called Badger's Parting Gifts which is good for helping bereaved kids.
