I'm trying to find a poem

for someone close who lost her partner.
We were talking about them not really being gone as though they are just behind a veil.
I want to find the poem I got that image from.
I think it's about not grieving too much because I haven't gone far away, I'm just behind the veil.
I just can't think what it was called or how I stumbled across it.
Google is suggesting lots of similar things but I would know it if I saw it.

It might be "Do not stand by my grave and weap"by Mary Elizabeth Fry. That one always touches me.

thank you for those suggestions, they are both lovely and I'll make a note of them.
I'm beginning to wonder if I dreamt the mystery one.

thebaker (love your name!) that really sounds different to Emily Dickinson and more modern... hmm...

Google says Colleen Hitchcock! averyshope.blogspot.co.uk/2011/11/and-if-i-go-while-youre-still-here-by.html?m=1

Molly , that's it !
I'm so grateful, thank you.
My mother and I are tentatively trying to rebuild a relationship of sorts after a long estrangement.
My poor Dad died last week .
I had tried to recall this poem and promised I would find it for her.

Ah, I'm glad. Sorry about your Dad Flowers

I'm sorry about your dad.

I realise that you've found the poem you were looking for, but this one has a similar sentiment and is a favourite of mine. It might give your mum some comfort

So nice to see it's been found.

Sorry about your dad, and good luck rebuilding things with your mum.
