Could this be the start of things :(

I had a scan on Friday that showed an empty pregnancy sac I was told I could start miscarrying naturally before I was due to go back for a second scan next week.
Today I have had a bad back ache and now getting sort of period pains - should I expect to start bleeding soon?

It's possible. I'm really sorry.

If the pain gets very bad or you start bleeding very heavily, make sure you are seen.

Wheelybug · 07/03/2007 18:34

whoops. Sorry to hear about this.

I had a m/c last year and my bleeding started before any pains but I guess everyone is different and it could be. I guess the waiting must be awful.

Take care of yourself and do what you need to do to help yourself (keep busy, do nothing, sleep, post lots of questions.).

Will be thinking of you.

whoops - I remember the 'unknown' being almost the worst part of it.

I don't think it is likely to start off 'dramatically'. My bleeding started off v. lightly and then got heavier but did not get much worse than a normal period although I did have a bit more pain than normal so, on a practical note, I would advise having painkillers and a hot water bottle to hand.

Here's wishing you a good nights sleep. Thinking of you.

whoopsfallenoveragain · 07/03/2007 20:53

Thanks Wheelybug - I had a bleed with ds and it came gushing out with no warning so I keep thinking it is going to be like that
I was hoping it would be something like a period though

agree with wheely - i expect not knowing can sometimes be worse than knowing.

i have no experience in this area but wish you a good nights sleep and send you love xx
